The first week of December we made a few trips to the doctors. First I took Ryker in because he was complaining his stomach and throat hurt so I thought he had strep. He ended up being fine. However that weekend He got an ear infection so we headed to the doctor again and got some antibiotics. The next week Beckett woke up with a huge blister on his lip. I talked to the nurse and she said it would be best to have it checked out. We went in and the doctor said it was from him bumping it on something. However, she was worried about his breathing since he was wheezing. So we did a breathing treatment while we were there.

While we were gone Ryker went potty all by himself! I had put underwear on him to have another try at potty training and he went all by himself. He went upstairs and went then came and told my mom he had gone! For the rest of the week he would go all alone no reminding or asking if he needed to go. He had a couple accidents but he did awesome!
His reward for going on the potty
We also got to go on the Polar Express train. It was so fun to ride the train and see Santa. Then we rode the train and saw pictures of Christ's life. It was a good reminder of what Christmas is really about.
Sophie climbed up on Grandma's table and got her cookies
On Sunday the 9th after sacrament Brad brought me and the twins home for their nap. We had been inside for less than 5 minutes and Beckett fell over and hit his head on the stair railing. He split his head open so we took him to the ER. We had to stop at the church and get Ryker than we headed to the hospital. Beckett did not like having the wash cloth held to his head. Luckily Cindy came and got Ryker and Sophie from the hospital. After checking in we had to wait for the numbing stuff to start working. Beckett had calmed down by then and was pretty happy. The doctor came in and wrapped him up so he couldn't move then started to stitch him up. I had to hold his leg while they did it. The first stitch wasn't to bad but by the second the doctor realized the numbing stuff wasn't working so he had to give him shots to numb him more. Beckett and so angry and sad, it was really hard to have my baby in pain. He ended up getting 5 stitches. :(On Tuesday the 11th Ryker was playing and slipped and bonked his head in the same spot as Beckett. I don't know if he hit his head on the floor or the railing because I had my back to him. So I packed up all kids and headed for the doctors after hours office. Brad had to meet me there because he was still at work. My mom and Jessica came and watched the twins while we were back in the room. Luckily Ryker's could be super glued. Ryker did a good job, he was happy when the nurse gave him two suckers.
Needless to say we have been to the doctor way to many times this month and I hope we are done for awhile.
Last night we decided to go check out the new Outlets by us. It was a little cold but it was fun to get out. Ryker loved the big Christmas tree.

ReplyDeletelove our pose :)
ReplyDeleteSeriously, what are the odds of both boys cutting their heads almost in the same spot. Ryker just wanted to be like Beckett. You deserve a frequent customer card for the doctors. Love Sophies cute little Christmas outfit. Looks like you've been having fun!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I like your haircut.
