December Thus Far

The first week of December we made a few trips to the doctors. First I took Ryker in because he was complaining his stomach and throat hurt so I thought he had strep. He ended up being fine. However that weekend He got an ear infection so we headed to the doctor again and got some antibiotics. The next week Beckett woke up with a huge blister on his lip. I talked to the nurse and she said it would be best to have it checked out. We went in and the doctor said it was from him bumping it on something. However, she was worried about his breathing since he was wheezing. So we did a breathing treatment while we were there.

While we were gone Ryker went potty all by himself! I had put underwear on him to have another try at potty training and he went all by himself. He went upstairs and went then came and told my mom he had gone! For the rest of the week he would go all alone no reminding or asking if he needed to go. He had a couple accidents but he did awesome!

We also got to go on the Polar Express train. It was so fun to ride the train and see Santa. Then we rode the train and saw pictures of Christ's life. It was a good reminder of what Christmas is really about.

Sophie climbed up on Grandma's table and got her cookies
On Sunday the 9th after sacrament Brad brought me and the twins home for their nap. We had been inside for less than 5 minutes and Beckett fell over and hit his head on the stair railing. He split his head open so we took him to the ER. We had to stop at the church and get Ryker than we headed to the hospital. Beckett did not like having the wash cloth held to his head. Luckily Cindy came and got Ryker and Sophie from the hospital. After checking in we had to wait for the numbing stuff to start working. Beckett had calmed down by then and was pretty happy. The doctor came in and wrapped him up so he couldn't move then started to stitch him up. I had to hold his leg while they did it. The first stitch wasn't to bad but by the second the doctor realized the numbing stuff wasn't working so he had to give him shots to numb him more. Beckett and so angry and sad, it was really hard to have my baby in pain. He ended up getting 5 stitches. :(

On Tuesday the 11th Ryker was playing and slipped and bonked his head in the same spot as Beckett. I don't know if he hit his head on the floor or the railing because I had my back to him. So I packed up all kids and headed for the doctors after hours office. Brad had to meet me there because he was still at work. My mom and Jessica came and watched the twins while we were back in the room. Luckily Ryker's could be super glued. Ryker did a good job, he was happy when the nurse gave him two suckers.

Needless to say we have been to the doctor way to many times this month and I hope we are done for awhile.
Last night we decided to go check out the new Outlets by us. It was a little cold but it was fun to get out. Ryker loved the big Christmas tree.

Thanksgiving

We went to Brad's parents for Thanksgiving this year. I got to cook half of the meal and it was really fun. I was pretty busy on Thanksgiving and a few days before. I made some banana cream pies and ended up making one for my Mom, Cindy and Amy. It was fun to make them. On Thanksgiving I made green beans, some appetizers, sweet potatoes and rolls. I was really bummed about my rolls my first batch didn't turn out so as we were getting ready to leave I made another batch.
Dinner was tasty, everything turned out great. After dinner we went to go and see Wreck it Ralph with Brad's brothers and Ryker. It was a cute movie and it was fun to see Ryker's reaction.
After the movie we picked up the twins and headed up to Park City. We were going to go to the Outlets to do some Black Friday shopping but I was to tired so we just went to bed.
They next day we headed to the outlets and got some shopping done. The rest of the weekend we just relaxed, hung out and went swimming. One of the afternoons we got Wendy's on the way back to the condo, Sophie was so sleepy she fell asleep eating, she was still eating her chicken nuggets with he eyes closed! It was so funny.
We headed home Saturday night and on Sunday we put up our tree. It was a really fun weekend. I loved having Brad around to help out with the kids.

Potty Training Help!

So I HATE potty training. I hate it so much I would pay someone to potty train my kids. I have been trying on and off for over a year to potty train Ryker. I have done everything! I have set timers and when the timer goes off we sit on the toilet, nope. I have treats for when he goes, I have a huge toy he can play with when he goes. We got underwear that he likes,  we talk about where pee and poo goes. He has only gone to the bathroom once on the toilet, he normally goes shortly after I let him get off. I don't make a big deal about his accidents, we talk about where pee and poo goes and leave it at that. I let him play games or watch movies while he tries to go, still no success. I have dyed the water blue so it turns green when he goes. I have put cheerios in the toilet and told him to hit the Cheerios. I know it is not an issue of controlling when he goes because he can hold it all day.(I know because he did this the other day) I have no idea what to do! I am lost and very very frustrated. I know they are supposed to do it at their own time but he is 3. He shows all the signs of being ready, so now what? Please help! I am losing my mind.

October

The rest of October crept up on us and we had a busy few weeks. My mom celebrated her birthday on the 22nd. I made her dinner and her favorite dessert, cheese cake. We had my siblings come over for some cheese cake and to sing to her. On her birthday she chose to go to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. We made her get on the saddle, it was funny watching her get on and off of it :) I love my mom!

On the 24th Brad's brother Todd came home from his mission. We were waiting in the wrong terminal so we missed him coming down the stairs. It was great to see him, it was his first time meeting the twins. We spent the rest of the day up with Brad's family catching up with Todd.

On the 25th we went on the Nightmare Express. We were expecting there to be a long long but we ended up almost just walking on. The line wasn't to bad so we decided to go again so Brad could ride. However, the trains broke down and we ended up waiting over an hour to go again. while we were waiting it started snowing. Ryker loved it and wanted to ride again even after waiting in line for so long.

On the 26th we had our Halloween party. This year we decided to so a Murder Mystery party. It was really fun and the first one that I have ever been too. We did a Zombie themed one so everyone dressed up like zombies. We had great food and a lot of fun. I think that it was a great success and I am sure we will have to do another murder mystery some time.

On the 27th I drove down to St. George with my mom and sister Cindy. We went down to see Thriller at the Tuacahn. The weather was awesome and we had a ton of fun. We walked around the outlets ate dinner and went to the show. It think the opening number and the skeleton dance were my favorites. The next day we drove home on the way we stopped at Cove Fort. Mom and Cindy had never been so we took the tour and watched a little video. It was a really fun trip!

 Our new friend

On Halloween we went to my school to watch the parade. Ryker walked around with Erika, he loves being in the parade. That night we went to my parents and at a tasty meal of eyeballs and  ghost poop made by Jessica. She did a great job and the food was tasty. We went trick or treating down there. Ryker and Parker had a good time. Towards the end I let Beckett out to walk he looked so funny in his fat pumpkin costume walking around.
